Day dreams...

...of warmer weather!

When I checked the temperature this morning it was 28° and there was snowflakes in the air! So my traditional Easter picnic out in a natural area was postponed. We stayed in and watched a movie and picnic'd in the livingroom in front of the tv.

Day dreaming of warmer days to come.... This is a picture of the resort on the St.Lawrence River where I spent last weekend. You can see by the date that I have been going to the river for years. The 1000 Island area is a wonderful place in warmer weather!

That same year I spent time with some cousins at a camp on Upper Saranac Lake. This is the view from in front of the camp.

Warm days and calm water for canoeing and kayaking will be here soon. But you sure couldn't tell it by the weather today. I just couldn't bear to take one more picture of dark skies and snowflakes!

Hi Cedar, I used to hate it when I'd have beautiful spring clothes for my kids to wear for Easter---and then, almost every year, we'd have a cold spell at that time. I too was yearning for spring.

However, today here was beautiful. It started out cool for the Sunrise Service--but warmed up nicely. Now the storms and rains are coming back. Darn!!!!

Sounds like you had a nice INDOOR picnic..
Hugs,
Betsy

Hey Cedar we had a great family Easter get together today and wonderful spring weather (finally) all week end. Even more good news... it has to be heading east toward the Adirondacks. Really!

I think this year spring is just going to sneak in quietly and then jump on you with all four feet!

Cedar, this to will pass! It was sunny here but very cold. I took the picture of that beautiful flower yesterday at the Byward Market in Ottawa outdoors and Thanks for sharing and stopping by.

I wish I could send you some of our spring beauty and warmth. Then I could ask for your coolness and mountain grandeur when we scorch here at 110 degrees come summer. Do you have an extra room I might occupy then? lol

Sometimes we need to daydream just to get us through the day. I know I do it often! Weatherwise it was a miserable weekend here as well. Rain and LOTS of wind. Things should be happening outside and I'm relegated to shooting flowers inside. Where's the fun in that. Ah well, all this will pass soon and we'll be outdoors where we belong, Cedar. In the meantime, nice pics.

It has been a little chilly here as well but not too bad. There was some snow on the mountains all around us but luckily it did not fall here into the valley!

What inviting photographs. Looked like postcards! You know the 100 degree weather days with high humidity here in TN will have us all dreaming of cool crisp days!

Ooooo--I envy you your snowflakes. We see such a small smattering of snow here in the winter that I love every snowflake which finds its way to the ground.

What a creative way to spend Easter! A picnic inside with family, laughing over movies together.

(Grin) Have a perfectly marvelous week!

I can sympathize with you, Cedar. It started snowing here last night, and when I woke up this morning there was about an inch of new snow on the ground. :(
I'm sooo ready for Spring, and warmer days.
