Congratulations to your handsome grandson, he should be very proud of himself. Is Miss Maddy a Brown Swiss? I love her dreamy eyes. I am so happy fair season is upon us, lets hope Fall is on it's way as well, I have had enough of this heat and humidity, how about you?

Maddy is a Jersey, although the family farm has both Jersys and Holsteins the kids predominately show the Jerseys. It's been an amazing summer weather-wise, but I think I'm ready for cooler weather and getting back to routine. Maybe then I'll be in "blogland" more!

Congratulations! I'm smiling too. Two things I love most about the fair: 1) the animal judging, and 2) going through the barns watching the youngsters caring so tenderly for their animals. When I see their love and devotion to their animals it gives me hope for the future. Lovely post.

I live in California, and was just "thumbing" through the blogs when I came across yours...I must say that it's so refreshing to read about the younger generation and the good that they are doing in their lives. You are helping to rais a generation of "do-ers", not bums....my hats off to you and your family...God Bless you all
