A Boy And His Dog,...

What is better than a boy and his dog? ... Two boys and two dogs! Today my son and daughter-in-law took their boys to the local SPCA to adopt puppies.

Ian and puppy "Finn"...

A closeup of Finn enjoying life with his new boy!

And Owen and "Joey"...

Joey with a toy,...

I think we have two very happy boys, and two very happy puppies. Way to go John and Melissa for giving your sons such a wonderful gift. And I should also let you know that the boys are paying all the upcoming vet expenses out of their own savings from working on the farm. Am I proud? For sure!

What a great story that is, Cedar! Good for all of them! Our very spoiled dog also came from a shelter a couple years ago and we've so glad we went there for her.

You have every right to be proud of those boys!

What a wonderful day for the boys and those puppies. Your grandsons are really something, so responsible for such young boys. I know you're very proud of them and their great parents.

This post reminded me so much of the childrens book "The Puppy who wanted a Boy". How lovely. Be proud. It's always wonderful to hear about responsibility and kindness still being taught.

And you have every right to be proud. How wonderful that the boys are investing not only their time, but their money to care for their new dogs. What a heart-warming post.

I remember when I got our puppy for my sons... They were so excited and loved her so much ---just like your grandsons do....

Time passed---and all of a sudden, guess who was taking care of 'their' dog????? ME!!!! I certainly did something wrong.

Bet that won't happen at your grandsons' home. I'm sure they will be more responsible than my sons (which was my fault for not enforcing the rules back then).

Hugs,
Betsy

How absolutely wonderful! There's almost nothing better in life to a boy than his dog...

Or in my son's case, a cat who THINKS he's a dog. lol
