High school softball season is here. My granddaughter plays three sports each year, soccer, basketball and softball. So as you can guess, I'm watching as many games as I can! As she's just finishing ninth grade I am looking forward to three more years of games. This is their first home game. She got two hits. The first hit was a long one and unfortunately was caught by the center fielder. The second hit got her on base. However the inning finished before she could get to home plate.
Here she is in right field shouting encouragement to her friend who is pitching...

we have traveled quite a bit so far this baseball season and we happened to be playing in North Creek at Johnsburg School the other night. I could not help but think that most of the schools we have been to (and our own) have absolutely beautiful settings to play. In Johnsburg we were surrounded by beautiful mountains. We are much luckier than the city people having cars and main highways on each side of the field. Enjoy the games! I know they feed my spirit :)
Oh, I remember those wonderful days watching my son play sports. What great memories you are creating. Thanks for sharing the story and the photos and I know they will win soon.
They sure have a pleasant setting for the field!
What a lovely place for a ball game! There is a similar field in the backyard of an old friend I knew in Washington State. Amost identical. Made me homesick. Gorgeous photos!
What a beautiful place to play ball!!
What a lovely spot for a softball field. I also miss those days with our two sons. Time goes by much to fast.
These years are the best. Savor every moment, Cedar. :)
Spring is just the most glorious time of year for all things kids and teen! As much as I get crazy busy, I do love it when the activities ramp up. What a gorgeous field! Sorry I haven't been able to check in as much with getting ready for the move!
Hooray for women's sports! Enjoy this season.
Beautiful setting for a ball game. That three sport athlete is going to keep you running. that's for sure!
great shots - it makes me miss my nephews playing soccer. I hope they have better luck next time.
How wonderful to see your granddaughter play! Softball was always one of my favorite sports - I was playing in a co-ed league up until 5 years ago. Now I'm wondering if there's a league I can join for the over 40 crowd!
It's nice of you to go watch her games. That field reminds me of where our church team used to play many years ago. Thanks for sharing the pictures.
