Spring is here, in some areas of the country tulips are in bloom, (although not yet here in the northeast!) and it is "Purple Day."
Cassidy Megan, 9 years old last year in 2008, founded Purple Day to bring increasing awareness about epilepsy. Over 50 million people are affected by the challenge of epilepsy. One them is my friend, Michele of Rocky Mountain Retreat Photography.
To lean more about epilepsy, to better understand what is true and what is myth, visit this excellent epilepsy website. The more we understand the better we can be of assistance if someone near us has a seizure. Living with epilepsy, Michele has to walk to work every day! This young woman is amazing, check out her stunning photography of the mountains of British Columbia and also learn a bit more about epilepsy today,...Purple Day, 2009!

Beautiful flowers you have posted on this day! Michele is amazing!
I linked to Michele's blog as well. What a courageous young woman she is.
I didn't know that - what a wonderful person she is. thanks for bringing to my attention.
Oh, my dear--this photo fills my eyes. That is the biggest and best compliment I can give.
Ah, I must sit and gaze awhile.
Lovely dedication and a good link to visit too.
So glad of all the support shown for Michele.
Great Post! Did you know that one of our First Ladies had epilepsy and the President didn't want anyone to make a big deal over it. Being the President, he got his way. It was Ida McKinley I think.
Happy Twirls,
Libby
Great Purple Day post. I hope today is a good one for Michele.

I cannot thank you enough!

Much love and hugs to you!♥
It feels so good to honor someone as lovely as Michele. And spreading the word is the best thing - more money and hopefully closer to a cure for epilepsy.
I'm glad you made me aware of this, Cedar! I just made a post about "Purple Day". Epilepsy is certainly something everyone should become more knowledgeable about.
A true friend. I am glad we have 'met'. I have come across Michelle's blog a time or two. I love her photos, too, but had no idea about the latter.
