'Tis the Season!...

Basketball season, that is! This is my granddaughter's third year playing high school basketball. I go to most of her games. So far this year they have a record of 1-1. We believe the win column will be much larger as the season goes on.

Go ladies!

How fun to go watch your daughter play basketball! I always enjoyed watching the game - it's so fast moving!

I absolutely love college basketball, especially the University of Louisville. I watch just about every game all season.

A friend of mine from work has a Granddaughter who is being scouted by large universities, just had surgery for torn cartilage on her knee. My father was scouted for Michigan State basketball, until he had that same surgery back in the early 60's. My Dad's knee looks like they cut it with a chain saw. My friends Granddaughter has 3 tiny incisions.

Some of our best memories as an extended family are of watching my sister play high school and college basketball. My son has his first 8th grade game of the season on Thursday...there is no place I would rather be than back in the basketball stands...I am sure you are her #1 fan! My grandfather watched the VCR tapes of my sister's games for years after she finished college and during the week he was home with hospice, we all watched them together. Priceless memories, I hope he is in the gym Thursday night :)

Thanks everyone for your comments about my granddaughter's basketball games,.... and yes Corin, I am sure your grandfather will be there to watch your son. You won't see him, but you will be able to "feel" him there.
