Little Bear finds other animals in the forest going by carrying orange leaves from fall foliage, red berries from a tree, and even the blue jay was flying by carrying a few feathers...
Racoon digs through the snow and finds a few green shoots of grass,
I bought this book when my grandchildren were little. I think the beautiful illustrations are what sold me on it. But the story is a great lesson about sharing. The back cover notes describe the book as "Lavishly embossed throughout, this book brings the frozen beauty of North America vividly to life, as we join Little Bear in his quest for color....a whole host of animals,....bring the colors of the forest to him, one by one, ...the beautiful Snow Tree. ...A delightful story of friendship, sharing and the appreciation of Nature's beauty."

Oh Cedar, What a cute little book. I haven't heard of it.. My grands are all older now--so I've lost track of all children's books now.
My favorite book with my grandchildren was "Goodnight Moon." I'm sure you remember that one.
Thanks for sharing. Stay WARM... It's FIVE degrees here this morning. Brrr.
Hugs,
Betsy
I just love the illustrations. Looks like a great book for the little ones.
I'm so glad you shared this book! It's one I would love for the log cabin for myself! :-)
Neat book! I like the art. I always liked Christmas and holiday stories. I even liked the Polar Express movie, LOL. And meant to mention - you done been tagged.
This book is something Jerzie would enjoy for sure! She loves animals and truly enjoys pictures.I'm writing it down and will be looking for it. Thanks for the info. Today would have been a good day to read it. We have had at least a foot of snow since last night! Jean
The illustrations are lovely. I'm not that familiar with children's books, but if I were, I'd pick that one up.
