Avatar...

My 6th grader grandson has been a big help to me lately. He refused to let me pay him for his hard work. So yesterday after school we went to see this movie. I was not sure I'd like it but I must tell you it was amazing! We saw it in 3-D and the special effects were outstanding.

The story line has a great message too,... all about respect and honoring diversity. It shows how greed can cause heartbreak. If you haven't seen this film yet I highly recommend it, especially in 3-D.

I too have been apprehensive about seeing this movie, I thought perhaps it was geared towards the younger crowd. Glad to know you enjoyed and recommend it. DH and I just might be heading to the movies this weekend. Thank you Ceder.

I wondered what that was like. What did your grandson think about it?

Montucky, he really liked it. It teaches a respect for nature and other people's ways. Beautifully done. There is some violent battle scenes but what I took away was the beauty, not those scenes.

Now I think we will.

Several people have said they would wait for the dvd, but would it have the 3-D special effects? That really makes the movie an experience to remember.

I've heard it's a great movie and my daughter loved it. She wants to go see it again. Maybe we'll all go.

I thought it was just some sci-fi movie (which I hate) but apparently that is not the case. There must be something good about Avatar since it just broke all records!

I haven't seen this cuz I was afraid it would be scary. I'm a chicken like that. We may attempt this now.

Except for the tree-worshiping part, I loved the movie. I have a profound relationship with the forest and trees--but not quite like that. (grin) However, the effects were enchanting, and the story line was pretty good.
