First Snow...

Yesterday a.m. I snapped the photo that is now what you see as my blog header. That is the first snow on Giant. Raven is in the foreground, and Giant is the rounded mountain behind Raven. It is actually far higher than the mountain in the foreground. Giant rises 4626' over the villages of Keene Valley and St.Huberts.

The valley had some early morning fog. Summer is gone, leaves are turning. Time marches on...

What a gorgeous photograph! Yes, I believe the warm days will be few and far between from here on.

Oh My Goodness, Cedar.... I love snow (as you know) --but don't think I'm ready for any YET this year. Beautiful header picture though...You live in a beautiful area.

Thanks for your kind comments.

Lovely new header. We received snow showers in the western hills on Wednesday. I've resigned myself to the fact that winter is on it's way. The scenery in your neck of the woods is just magical. Have you retired your camper for the season?

We took a spring vacation in Keen Valley a few years ago. It was breath taking then and your photo's show it still has that beauty and charm that is the Adirondacks. Love and Light, Nina P.

I just visited Lake Placid and Lake George and how I loved every minute and wished we could have stayed longer,

Wow, is that ever nice! By coincidence, we had the first snow of the season a couple of day ago too but I didn't get any pictures. Good to see yours!

I cannot believe there is snow already! I'm heading up that way for a vacation right after Columbus day to see New England in the fall. I'm hoping to look at some properties near Delhi and Walton, then headed to Vermont, NH, MA, and then back home to VA. Gorgeous picture of the mountains.

Cedar
That is a picture postcard. You had snow,we had blue skies and 75 degrees. It always amazes me how different our weather is here in the old USA. Yours is gorgeous!

Snow? Snow! SNOW!!! Oh, my goodness...I am SO envious. For the past 30 years it will not snow where I am.

Proof? Well, for the umpteenth time it happened again last winter. Everyone around us had a foot and a half of snow--our state was entirely covered...except at my house where we only had a measly four inches.

Sniff (grin) Have a wonderful time in your drifting snowflakes, dear girl!
