Making Progress!...
At 5 p.m. this afternoon the sky was colored a brilliant peach and blue. It was still daylight. It's a great feeling after a winter of much snow and cold temperatures to finally see the sun setting later in the day.
I am so glad you posted this. On my way home yesterday I was treated to a beautiful sunset over the mountain. I was driving like mad to get just over the hill by my house because I thought I would still be high enough to pull over and take a picture of it. But I had descended just enough that the really bright light was behind the mtn. It looked just like your picture! I am glad you captured it. It was just what I needed... a little reward for a busy day at work.
There is nothing quite like the view of the sun setting behind the mountains. My husband and I are going to Tucson, AZ in about 2 weeks and I can't wait to see the sunsets there.
How GORGEOUS - and warming for such a cold day! The longer daylight hours give hope that spring is just around the corner! Thanks for sharing these wonderful pics!
I'm always in awe whenever I look at the size of the Adirondack's on the New York, or even national map. It's one big piece of real estate, and no doubt that is part of its grandeur.
I sure agree with that last line! Awesome photos. What a family treasure you have in that sampler. It is a wonderful work of art and history. Thank you for sharing it. Jean

Beautiful, Cedar. Doesn't that sunset make you feel better???? Wow!!!!
Love your header too....
Is spring really coming???? I cannot wait!!!! (It's 18 degrees right now at 5 p.m. in Tennessee--and the low today was about 9 degrees.)
Hope you have had a wonderful day.
Hugs,
Betsy
What a beautiful, welcome sunset!
Beautiful sky, beautiful photos! I'm with you: it's so good to have daylight now going into the evenings! I'll welcome spring as soon as it's ready!
Absolutely positively gorgeous. We had one here today also but not quite as spectacular.

It's so beautiful... I can't believe the colors.
Gorgeous sunset - loved all the colors in the sky!
The sunsets over in the valley are just amazing. I have a photo I took right from the corner by the green over in Jay that I love. Beautiful pics.

Oh, what I wouldn't give to teleport there for a few minutes, for a breath of fresh air. So pretty!
