Bearing testimony to the approaching colder season, the tips of the sumac leaves are turning golden.
The bountiful rain all summer long has created an environment where mushrooms are growing in the lawn, ... also golden.

Incredible how the temperature dropped almost 20 degrees in 24 hours.
I'm not ready to say good-bye to the summer, just yet.
Beatiful shots... it's hard to believe fall is literally right around the corner.. where has the summer gone?
K, I'm jealous! The temps have me wondering whose in control of the environmental controls up there. Someone obviously fell asleep and forgot to turn down the heat here... =D
Your photos are beautiful and I love the sumac leaves... very pretty!
I think summer is here for a little while longer but there is rain scheduled in the next day or two! Which is hopefully not accompanied by lightning!!
I love the color yellow--great photos! Fall is my favorite time of year. Judy
By a strange coincidence, we also had high temps in the 60's here the last two days also! And rain! And just a touch of fall in the air. Looking forward to a colorful fall.
