Gone Campin'...

Every campfire is always the best one ever,... right?

My older son gave me these neat little hanging lanterns for Christmas. They really look nice in front of the camper.

All set up at Macomb Reservation just west of Plattsburgh, NY. One of the nicest state campgrounds in the Adirondacks.

The view down to the water is framed by tall pines. Perfect setting to watch the Canada geese, great blue herons, and all kinds of little critters such as squirrels and chipmunks. Heading home soon. Sorry smallpines,... didn't travel 86. Will do that soon!

Such happy memories of when I camped with my parents as a child. When we first started we had a tent and then when I left home they got a trailer!

I can just smell the campfire and feel the dirt in my bed. LOL!

It's been years since we've been camping but usually we have gone in a tent. Ughh, just not my thing anymore. Going in a camper is definitely more my style.

Hope you had a wonderful time and ate a smore for me ; )

Such a pretty view from your campsite... so many things to enjoy and I can only imagine the smells you are enjoying as well!!
How wonderful.
We will never afford a trailer in our life but it's ok... tents are the next best thing! At least we are still with nature...

Hugs♥

Does that look like heaven or what? Looks like a beautiful campsite - very relaxing and boy could I use some relaxing about now.

Cedar, can you tell me how to post from my new website (www.itsmynaturephotography.com/blog/ to blogger.com? It doesn't seem to give me that option. So I am posting from my old WordPress blog which is currently inactive.

Looks gorgeous...looks a LOT like our U.P. of Michigan lakes too...I loved camping with our family when our girls were little...they still talk about it fondly and they are in their 30's now!

I agree! Every campfire is the best one ever. I love sitting by a fire.... *sigh* if only it would stop raining around here on my free evenings, I could indulge in my summer love and burn some camp wood and gaze into the flames! Have fun camping!

I remember taking camping trips with my parents as a kid, and our camp sites would look very similar to yours in the photos. Thanks for bringing back those memories. :)
