Not sub-zero! I have a little kinda funny story to tell, though, about cold temps. I am from Pennsylvania and for awhile lived in the mountains of western PA, where it gets VERY COLD in the winter. One day around the year 1983 it was -24. My father-in-law had an old Pinto that he constantly bragged about. It barely had floorboards; it was falling apart and was in such bad shape. But that morning, when all of the other cars didn't even choke to TRY to start, his old Pinto started right up! He never let us forget that and we never teased him again about his old junker!Aletahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02682565517324544381noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2045403217415178413.post-6705891063781519732009-01-18T11:30:00.000-05:002009-01-18T11:30:00.000-05:00Good Grief that is coldGood Grief that is coldCallie Annhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00182013111666636150noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2045403217415178413.post-39570495538764465782009-01-18T09:55:00.000-05:002009-01-18T09:55:00.000-05:00We're at a sweltering 15F this morning. :-P I mus...We're at a sweltering 15F this morning. :-P I must admit though, I actually prefer it nice and cold so it keeps the snow so white, fluffy and pretty. When the temps warm up and the snow melts and turns muddy and soppy and dirty it's just not very pretty at all. I think that's why I always get kinda depressed in March, it's so ugly looking outside.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01747445293077378146noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2045403217415178413.post-77544495254425552172009-01-17T20:28:00.000-05:002009-01-17T20:28:00.000-05:00Ouch! I really feel for the folks in the south who really aren't used to the cold or equipped for it. I remember lots of very cold weather when I was a kid, but in recent years it has been a little milder, although in '96 we saw -33° for a couple nights.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2045403217415178413.post-77592136323118164802009-01-17T20:02:00.000-05:002009-01-17T20:02:00.000-05:00Thank you for your lovely comment on my essay over...Thank you for your lovely comment on my essay over at Red Pine Mountain. :) You have a wonderful blog here...amazing photos.
